  • Define the Envisioning Phase, understand your business and technical goals and assess the risks
  • Develop a migration plan from Oracle on Unix to SQL Serveron Windows
  • Identify the different tasks required to migrate from Oracle to Sql Server
  • Define the processes required to migrate the Oracle architecture to SQL Server
  • Develop and implement the steps to migrate Oracles schemas to SQL Server
  • Develop and implement the steps to migrate database users from Oracle to Sql Server
  • Migrate the application data from Oracle to Sql Server
  • Identify and processes needed to successfully test the migrated objects from Oracle to SQL Server
  • Convert the SQL and PL/SQL code from Oracle to SQL Server
  • Utilize Sql Servers SSMA tool to convert your Oracle database to SQL Server 2008
  • Define and automate the major steps during the migration process
  • Use the assessment report to determine the size and cost of the conversion
  • Convert Oracle tables, functions, stored procedures, views and sequnces
  • Identify context sensitive information and provide output
  • Utilize the Migration Tester in SSMA to automate all of the converted Oracle based code
